With AutoScover, we built out a custom website and web application that was developed to help car dealers figure out what price they should sell their current inventory at based on factors within their region. This provides an “AutoScover Suggested Price” that the dealer can then use to price their inventory accordingly for an edge in their sales.
This website was fairly large and the web application was built with the framework Ruby on Rails. Within the members only application, users can perform VIN searches to gather car specs, history, and details. They can also look at any dealer’s current inventory along with pricing averages, sales history, etc.
If a user wants to create a printable report for use in the physical world, they can do so by exporting any car’s data to a printable PDF file that is built custom on the back-end using FPDF.
This is all integrated with Marketcheck’s API endpoint for vehicle data.
